I am a graphic and product designer from Southern Maryland, practicing currently in Philadelphia. I fell in love with design as a kid, drawing my favorite Godzilla movie covers, creating BMX jerseys, and personalizing my LEGO figures to be my favorite clone battalion from Star Wars. That love transfered in to painting as a teenager, where I obsessively tried to recreate Bob Dylan album covers, writing and designing canvases to express the crazy way 'Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again' made me feel.
For a while, I was particularly compelled to be an astrophysicist or kinesiologist, but anything besides drawing in notebooks wasn't really my thing. So, I studied at Drexel University, building a love for book arts, motion graphics, and brand identity. It took a trip to the London Centre for Book Arts to open my eyes to the possibilities of print media, as I was writing, sketching, and cultivating a love for craft and industrial design. This trifecta carried me through the final two years of college and has inspired me ever since.
